Divorcepath securely stores client information for the duration of the engagement and manages all data in accordance with applicable privacy and data protection laws.
When a client matter is deleted, it is first removed from active use but retained securely for up to 30 days before being permanently erased from our systems. You can delete a client matter in the file settings by selecting “Delete Client.”
Account administrators can delete users in the “Organization” tab by selecting the user and choosing “Delete.” This action removes the user from the organization and deletes their Divorcepath account. Any client files assigned to the deleted user will remain visible as unassigned in the “All Firm Clients” tab.
Archiving a matter preserves client information in a secure, inactive state. Archived matters are hidden from the active client list but can be accessed at any time by applying the “archived” filter.
Clients may request deletion of their data at any time, subject to any legal or contractual obligations.
