The Opportunity

We are seeking an Intermediate or Senior Family Law Clerk to join our team as a Customer Success & Product Specialist. In this role, you’ll leverage your deep family law knowledge to:

  1. Empower our customers—primarily family law professionals—to maximize the value of our software tools.
  2. Collaborate with our product and engineering teams to refine features, address user feedback, and help shape our growing platform.
  3. Elevate the user experience by leading training sessions, developing support materials, and continually improving our service.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Customer Support & Onboarding
    • Serve as the first point of contact for law firms, clerks, and other professionals using Divorcepath.
    • Provide expert assistance with child and spousal support calculations, custom intake forms, and document automation features.
    • Onboard new clients through tailored training sessions (via Zoom/Teams) and ongoing technical support.
  2. Product & Feature Development
    • Work closely with product managers and developers to identify user needs, troubleshoot issues, and propose enhancements.
    • Offer insights on form requirements, calculations, and family law agreements to help drive product innovations.
  3. Knowledge Sharing & Training Materials
    • Develop and maintain comprehensive user guides, FAQs, video tutorials, and other resources to empower clients and internal teams.
    • Stay up-to-date on changes to family law rules and procedures, ensuring Divorcepath’s software remains compliant and cutting-edge.
  4. Customer Advocacy & Relationship Management
    • Build strong relationships with law firms and family law professionals, gathering feedback to improve user experience.
    • Represent the “voice of the customer” in strategic discussions, ensuring that product updates align with real-world needs.
  5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Collaborate with marketing, sales, and leadership teams to communicate product updates and best practices.
    • Assist in occasional demos, webinars, or conference presentations to showcase Divorcepath’s capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Family Law Expertise:
    • 3+ years (Intermediate) or 5+ years (Senior) of experience as a family law clerk in a law firm or legal department.
    • Proficiency in preparing separation agreements, financial statements, and other standard family law documents and forms.
    • Strong knowledge of child support and spousal support calculations (e.g., Federal Child Support Guidelines, SSAGs).
  • Technical Aptitude:
    • Comfortable learning new software tools; experience with family law tech solutions (e.g., DivorceMate) is a plus.
    • Ability to clearly explain tech solutions to a variety of users, from novice to advanced.
  • Communication & Interpersonal Skills:
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication; able to simplify legal concepts and product functionality for diverse audiences.
    • Proven ability to manage client relationships and deliver responsive, solution-focused support.
  • Analytical Mindset & Problem-Solving:
    • Keen attention to detail; proactive about identifying inefficiencies and suggesting process improvements.
    • Experience in a customer-facing or client service role is an asset.
  • Team Collaboration & Self-Motivation:
    • Thrives in a fast-paced startup environment with shifting priorities.
    • Comfortable collaborating across remote teams, balancing autonomy and team communication.
