Professional Bio
Karen has been a family lawyer since 2010. She has been a Children’s Lawyer since 2013, and was a member of Legal Aid’s Domestic Violence, Child, Youth, and Family Services, Administrative and Duty Counsel Panels from 2011 to 2021. She is a member of the Association of Family and Conciliatory Courts, an Associate Member of the Ontario Association of Family Mediators and is certified in Collaborative Practice. Karen is also a trained Voice of the Child practitioner. Prior to COVID-19, Karen enjoyed assisting self-represented litigants as Advice Lawyer (FLIC) and Family Court Duty Counsel in York Region. She now happily lives in Renfrew County, but offers people across Ontario legal advice, legal “coaching”, litigation support (“unbundled legal services”), advocacy, mediation and negotiation services online
