Indexing of Alberta Personal Tax Rates
The Government of Alberta announced on August 30 that Alberta would be reindexing income taxes to inflation, retroactive to the 2022 tax year. This change comes after tax rates were de-indexed in 2019.
As the change will be made retroactively to the start of 2022, Divorcepath calculations for Alberta spousal support and s. 7 expenses for 2022 are affected by this change. The update has been implemented immediately, and 2022 calculations have been automatically updated to reflect these latest rules. Any PDF reports will need to be re-generated to include the latest numbers.
