What's Changed in 2022
We've updated the support calculator to account for changes to tax in 2022, including:
- Federal and provincial income tax bracket changes, indexed for inflation;
- changes to the Federal basic personal amount tax credit for 2022, increasing from a maximum of $13,808 to $14,398 (means-tested); and
- changes to indexed personal tax credits at Federal and provincial levels.
These changes take effect immediately for all free calculations, where the default tax year is now set to 2022.
2021 calculations remain available as a prior-year calculation in the "options" section of the Calculator (a premium feature).
