Setting up your Divorcepath account takes just a few minutes. This guide walks you through the sign-up process, email verification, profile setup, and choosing the right plan for your needs.
Signing Up
- Navigate to divorcepath.com/app and click Sign Up.
- Enter your email address and choose a strong password.
- Select whether you are a legal professional (lawyer, paralegal, mediator) or an individual (self-represented litigant).
- Click Create Account.
Verifying Your Email
After signing up, you will receive a verification email at the address you provided. Click the verification link in the email to confirm your account. If you do not see the email, check your spam or junk folder. You can also request a new verification email from the sign-in page.
Completing Your Profile
Once your email is verified and you are signed in, take a moment to complete your profile:
- Navigate to your Profile from the sidebar or account menu.
- Enter your full name and contact information.
- If you are a legal professional, add your firm name, office address, and professional credentials. This information will appear on generated documents and reports.
- Click Save to update your profile.
Professional vs. Individual Accounts
Divorcepath offers two types of user accounts:
- Professional accounts are designed for lawyers, paralegals, and mediators. They include client management tools, courtroom-ready reports, document generation, and team collaboration features.
- Individual accounts are designed for self-represented litigants. They provide access to support calculators and basic reports to help you understand your entitlements.
Choosing a Plan
Divorcepath offers several plans to suit different needs:
- Base (Free) — Access to basic support calculators with standard reports. Suitable for individuals who want to explore their options.
- Professional — Full access to advanced calculators, courtroom-ready reports, document generation, and client management. Ideal for legal professionals and serious individual users. Includes a free 7-day trial.
- Organization — Everything in Professional, plus team management, shared client files, analytics, and administrative controls. Designed for law firms and legal organizations with multiple users.
