Protecting client matter data is a core part of how Divorcepath is built and operated.
Client matter data is stored in Canadian infrastructure. This includes client files, uploaded financial documents, calculations, and generated forms. To operate Divorcepath Assistant, user prompts, relevant matter context, tool results, and generated responses may be transiently processed by contracted AI inference providers outside Canada, including in the United States. These providers are contractually restricted from using Client Data for model training or retaining it beyond what is necessary to provide the service.
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is controlled through account permissions and authentication controls, and activity logging helps teams review access and investigate issues when needed.
Divorcepath supports security review for firms and organizations evaluating the platform. Additional security documentation, including our SOC 2 materials, is available during review under the appropriate process.
