Divorcepath includes a searchable library of court forms, precedents, and related documents for family law workflows. Documents are generated from the client file so your team can avoid repetitive re-entry and move faster from matter data to filing-ready output.
Here is the basic workflow:
Step 1: Open the client file
Start in the client file you want to work from. The document workflow uses the matter data already stored in the file to populate forms and drafting fields.
Step 2: Create a new document
Select New Document to open the form and document library.
Step 3: Choose the form or precedent
Search by jurisdiction, court, or document type to find the form or precedent you need. The library is organized to make it easier to locate the right document quickly.
Step 4: Generate the document
After selecting the document, generate it from the client file. Relevant matter data is merged into the form automatically, reducing manual entry and helping maintain consistency across documents.
Step 5: Review, edit, and export
Once generated, you can review the document in Divorcepath, continue editing, or export it for Word-based work and filing preparation.
The goal of the document workflow is simple: use one connected source of truth for client data, then generate cleaner court forms and precedents with less duplicate work.
